This fellow was on the hill.
At one point, after almost nine hours in the car, we entered a swarm of TseTse flies. They were everywhere on the car Burke the few that got inside we could easily kill. My first kill in Africa.
Below, is Chris, from Ciprian's tribe and a fellow guide. CHARMING!!!
My room here at Serengeti Sopa Lodge.
The view from my deck. We are IN the Serengeti National Park. There are animals all around us (gazelles, dic dics, water buffalo, bucks, giraffes) and so we must be escorted to our rooms.
HOMAGE Á CRISPIAN!!!!
My man rocks!!! He was crawling along the final kilometers of our BRUTAL drive here (the last 50 K) and I was tempted to say, "Enough already with the animals, let's get to the lodge." but I didn't and Ciprian SPOTTED A LEOPARD. Even he doesn't see them often; they are the hardest of the "big five" to see but I have seen them all now, thanks to my great driver and guide, Ciprian!!
