Friday Morning, Maramboi

Your scribe, Bwana, last night on his deck.

Dinner last night was DELICIOUS. Soup, salad (and the combination of beets and papaya was to die for) and a varied and exotic meal. A small smorgasbord is brought to each large table and I was able to have a fabulous dinner of only vegetables.

I was a veggie in my twenties and in the last few years I have avoided meat and now I am even more resolved to avoid it. Tho of you who have known me a l one time will believe this because I can say: I think I have had one White Spot Hamburger in the last two years. (They we're my love and I used to have one a week.)

Today we go to Manyara National Park. Having to leave here makes me feel as I might we're I to hear that North America exploded and disappeared into the sea. Crappy sleeping, that happens sometimes with me no matter where I am, but I got to hear the sounds of the night. (My cough will not get better without sleep though!)

Below, sunrise in my room. Goodbye Zanadu!

  1. I just wish you were a little more ... appreciative, a little more voluble about your pleasure, Chris - it's hard for us to tell if you're having a good time or not.
    Ha.
Sheer joy to read your happiness, and see it too. The cheetahs!
    Take care of that cough,
    b.
