Kirurumu Tented Camp, Part 2

Before listing the rest of the points for today, I will mention tourist trap #2. Crispian says it was local craftsmen and I believe, him, but that's what it was—men, business men, salesmen, so I told him never again! "Only women's collectives for shopping," I said, " from now on!" He's OK with that. Still, Sucker Bwana bight something (but I bargained as I am supposed to). I just don't like haggling with people for small savings when they have so little and I am so blessed.

This tent tonight is fabulous. On the edge so the escarpment, there is a breeze blowing through the ten and me bed is right against a window. Outside is a full moon and it shine s on me in my bed. Heaven!

And the rest of the points ....

Nile Monitor Lizzard!

Mot wa Mumbo village and mud driving through wash out. This village is under water in rainy season. We are at the foot of the escarpment. Tere were devastating floods two weeks ago that killed three people here. The escarpment is crumbling slowly, or eroding.

The ears of elephants are like gills on a fish they way they constantly open and close.

Acres of shiny green schefferleara-type trees. I don't know how to spell that tree name. They are called Queenenie Trees.

Monkeys with gorgeous turquoise testicles. I saw similar monkeys in Trinidad, but their balls were dark blue. There are Mediterranean Blue or robins egg blue.

WOW!!! A gorilla-sized baboon!

Mother baboon with dead newborn. This is an emotional bungee jump, this trip. Yesterday, it as the kitten.

A Dik Dik is a small antelope the size of, perhaps, a mid size dog. They are super cute and make me want to move here and raise them!

Sundown = swathed in mosquito repellant and wearing long sleeves and trousers, AND on Malarone. I can't do more!

And finally, the left overs ..... HIPPOS!
