Ciprian was right; there was thunder, lightning and a downpour in the late afternoon, so I came inside for tea that is served at 4:30.
Dinner was again delicious. The first course was mushrooms on toast that were absolutely delicious—can mushrooms ever not be delicious? Then cream of lentil soup. Mmmmmmm. Then a veggie curry to die for and apple fritters with ice cream for dessert... perfect quantities and nice simple clean presentation.
And to think I couldn't even eat lunch today because whereas my head is in a constant state of ecstasy here in Tanzania, my stomach is not. I'm increasingly of the opinion that the problem may be the truck and the roads. We are rarely on a paved road. The park roads are dirt and in the rain, they can be really rough. We are bouncing up and down and sometimes going sideways.
Wow, Now the staff choir is singing and chanting, weaving their way through the restaurant! And the band and the dancers are back. They must have swivel joints at the base of their spine that allow their hips to mesmerize the way they do. And there are beautiful women in the choir and it is wonderful to see them having so much fun. Almost every employee and worker I encounter is male, so it is special to see the women out front in performance.

Hi Chris,
ReplyDeleteYour stomach could be rebelling against the anti-malarial drug.....I had the same problem during our trip, as well in a truck over bumpy roads. Got any TUMS?
Forgot to add my name to my post about the anti-malarial, no mystery, just old age!
