Day four of my vacation is really only day two. I left Vancouver at 8:00 am Wednesday and arrived here in Essaouira at 5:30 Thursday. Last night, my third night here, I actuall slept pretty much as I might at home. I went to bed at 11:00 and woke up at 5:00 but dozed to 6:30. This kind of information may bore you but it's the big thing in my tiny traveling world. And this morning, Sunday, has dawned humid and cool. There are patches of blue sky, clouds and huge thunderheads, but I am optimistic I will get to the town, lunch and the bus station without getting soaked. It is one thing to have all you are wearing and carrying get wet, but another thing to have everything get wet. I did not anticipate rain, especially torrid downpours.
And this morning, I was reading my emails and a message came from Bruce, so I turned on Skype and we chatted. That, was thrilling. Other than Birgitta, on the flight from London, I have really spoken to no one.
